Oldies but Goodies

This week: Top 2 Favorite Old Pictures

1. I have sooo many favorite old pictures, but not a lot of them are on my computer. This picture is of me and my sister, Lauren. (I'm the taller one) Growing up we were always fighting, so it's nice to see us showing the love. :o) This picture was taken almost 20 years ago...

2. I know that 2008 wasn't that long ago, but it was the last Christmas that I spent in Louisiana. It was such a wonderful day, and it was our last family Christmas picture with my Grandfather. We called him Pe-Paw, and he went to be with the Lord in May. I'll never forget how great that day was.

(Top picture is of me and Pe-Paw (my Mom's Dad), next one is the group picture of my Mom's side of the family, and the last is of me and my Maw-Maw (my Dad's Mom)

And since I couldn't pick just two, here's some more!

3. For my 21st birthday I had a small little gathering at my friend Cat's apartment. At midnight when it was actually my day of birth, we celebrated with confetti and noiseless noise makers. I am so thankful for moments like these. (2007)

4. When I lived in Louisiana I used to watch my little cousins, Matthew and Micah, play soccer a lot. The pictures below show their pure joy after winning one of their games. I love these kids so much. (2007)

This video is one of my faves and is just too darn cute not to share. :o)

Micah playing soccer...sorta.

This Week: Top Two Favorite US Cities

New York City

In 2008 I decided that I had lived long enough without seeing one of my favorite cities. So, I booked my trip and spent one glorious day in the city! Even though I was by myself, it was still a blast. I woke up bright and early and toured The House That Ruth Built, ate lunch at Serendipity, took a ferry to Ellis Island and saw the Statue of Liberty, and topped it off with The Little Mermaid on Broadway. It was one of the most amazing days of my life. Can't wait to go back!!

Laguna Beach, California

When I was 18, I lived in Laguna Beach as an Au Pair (otherwise known as a nanny) for a little over 3 months. (No, I didn't see the camera crew. Yes, I did see LC) This entire move is a long story. While I didn't enjoy the materialism, the scenery was breathtaking. I'd love to go back one day and visit all of my old favorite spots!

This week: Top 2 things you want to purchase

1. A Manual Treadmill - I've been thinking about getting back into my running grove, but between the heat and my paranoia about crazy people harming me makes me pretty discouraged. So, a treadmill would be a great addition to my little spare "me" bedroom! I can start running again without going outside or joining a gym, and this baby is manual so it won't be super loud.

2. Plane Tickets - I have always wanted to pack a bag, head to the airport, and book a flight when we get there! It doesn't have to be a far away destination, but the spontaneity of it all would be awesome! Keith and I have so much fun together and this sort of adventure would be just perfect! (So babe, you game? Hehehe)

This week: Top Two Dream Houses

1. My first choice is actually Megan from Shabby Blog's home! It's a 119 year old farmhouse in the country! I love the colors and the idea of living in something that was built in the late 1800's is amazing. I can see my kids running around our yard, sitting on the porch getting lost in a book, or even laying in a hammock with my husband. *sigh* :o)

2. Since I haven't spent tons of time day dreaming about my perfect house, my second choice would have to be a chateau. (Hey, they said dream house!) The pictures below are ones that I found that I adore! I highly doubt I'll ever live in any of these since the price ranges from 16 million to about 80 million dollars, but I'm okay with that. I really love the home that Keith and I have now. :o)

3. You know, now that I'm thinking about it....I would definitely love to live in a villa in Italia. Yes, that is what I would love. Maybe something like the one from Under the Tuscan Sun?

This week: Top Two Items Under $15

1. Contour Clubbing Waterproof Eyeliner by Bourjois Paris. Ulta - $13.50. This is my absolute favorite eyeliner! It goes on so smooth and doesn't fade off throughout the day. I've worked out a bit while wearing this and it doesn't run - definitely sweat proof. Personally, I think it's a bit pricey for eyeliner, however it has lasted almost 3 months and I think it's worth every penny!(source)

2. Naturally Fresh Jalapeno Ranch Dressing. Bi-Lo - $4.50 approximately. I know this probably looks really silly, but this is one of my new, favorite things. I eat this Jalapeno Ranch dip with practically everything! I've yet to try it with ice cream, but hey I might just do that sometime soon. If you love spicy food and love ranch dip then you must give this a try! :o)

This Week: Top Two Favorite Magazines

1. I don't really read magazines, but when I do, I love reading Marie Claire. They have your typical How to/Make-up/Hair/Fashion information, but they also have great articles like this.

2. My next favorite would be Sports Illustrated. I am a complete sports freak and could read this magazine all day...

Just for fun - How cute are Rachel McAdams and Owen Wilson on this cover?? :o)

This week: Top Two Random Things About Myself

1. I'm a terrible dancer, but I dance a lot at my house. And I don't mean graceful ballet dancing. Nope, I'm a crazy shoulder shaking, hair flying, weird jello knee thingy, shimmy across the floor, salsa, noodle dancer! Lol does this make sense? I hope so. Sometimes when I'm cooking dinner a dance party breaks out in the kitchen and my hubby joins me. (He's a crazy dancer, too.)

2. Keith and I watch American Pickers and Pawn Stars on the History Channel all the time. It doesn't matter if the shows are new or old, we watch 'em. Keith really likes these shows and I am secretly hooked. :o)
