No Bueno

via

Well, the verdict is in...

I failed my Statistics class by TWO freaking points. Like I said before, I am definitely not "math minded" at all. But two points is just ridiculous. I could have guessed better on tests, spent time getting tutored, or asked my professor early on for additional assignments.

But I didn't.

And I failed.

I'll be leaving this class with a D+. Stats is required for my major, as well as a pre-req. for another required class, so I will have to take it again. I've adjusted my schedule for the Spring, and will be taking round two from January to March.

And you know what? I am going to ROCK this class. I am so upset that I not only failed, but by two points, that I have decided that I am going to make an A in round two. Yep, I WILL. This awful D+ will be replaced by whatever grade I earn the second time around. My GPA will not be harmed by this class, but the D+ will be on my transcript, and I will have to explain this on my law school applications. *sigh*

Having this happen is definitely the wake-up call I needed right before enrolling in my LSAT prep course. Now is not the time to start slacking in school. I am a junior, and I'm about to start tackling the ridiculous LSAT. Now is the time to get excited and focused and ready!

So thank you, Math 201, for knocking me down. I am looking forward to picking myself back up!

Good for you! You SHOW that math who's boss! We all fail once in a while and that's ok, it's all in how you deal with it and sounds like you're dealing with it the right way

You GO girl! I'm horrible at math, too - but I always told myself that I was good at writing so it was okay.

You're a writer, don't let it get you down.

And kick that class's BOOTAY for English-lovers and left-brained people EVERYWHERE!

I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't do as well as you would have liked, but it sounds like you have the right attitude about going back in and mastering it!

I'll tell you - I just got my first semester grades back and I did AWFUL. TRULY AWFULY. But, at times like this, we just have to hold our heads high and become determined! :)
