The past few weeks have been beyond hectic.
I guess this all started the week of Thanksgiving. Keith and I traveled to Louisiana to see my family, and upon returning I was completely overwhelmed by all of the catch-up work I needed to do. Between school, editing, and housework, I was drowning. If these things were all I had on my to-do list, I could absolutely manage. But throw in a 40 hour work week and my time is cut very short. Due to this, I decided that the logical thing to do was take a blogging break. :(
My sweet husband has really helped in the housework area, but school and editing are all mine. The last part of this semester has been one of the most miserable ones that I have ever had. (My school cuts semesters in half, and I take two 8-week classes at a time.) The classes I took were Constitutional Law and Statistics. While I love Con Law, Statisticswas almost is the death of me.
Actually, I do not even know if I passed. Final grades are coming out Wednesday, and I'm afraid I'm 2 points too short from a passing grade. I have never been "math minded", but I have never failed a class. Ever. And while I know it's not the end of the world, I am so disappointed in myself. I could have done more. I should have done more. Statistics is required for my major, and is also pre-req to another class that I must take. So if I fail, then I have to take it again next semester. Joy. (Guess I'll be explaining this on my law school applications next year...)
As for editing, I am currently working on the cinematic version for a lovely couple who was married in October. Even though our contract gives me plenty of time to edit their wedding, I am determined to have it mailed in time Christmas. I'll be working on this tonight and tomorrow night, and with an luck will have only good news to report.
So that's what I've been doing.
School ended yesterday and I have two weeks to "relax" and enjoy the rest of Christmas. As crazy as things have been, I know that God is trying to teach me something...I just have to start paying better attention. SO happy to be back!

Enjoy your holiday break! =)
I hope you get a much-needed, relaxing break. I think it's always good to remember to slow down at this time of year and enjoy all that the Christmas season brings us.
I hope you hear good news about your test scores!
