Completely Wonderful

This Christmas will be one that I'll remember as 1) The last Christmas with just Keith and I/The Christmas I was pregnant for our sweet baby boy 2) The wonderful quality time we spent with family and friends in Charleston, SC 3) How blessed we were 4) Exhausting.

Keith and I were in Charleston from Thursday (12/22) until Tuesday (12/27) and we truly had an awesome time. We were able to visit with so many friends and family members and we both felt an overwhelming sense of love. Love for the people in our lives and love for our Savior. I hate to sound so peachy about our trip, but I can't help it. It was peachy. :) I love going back to South Carolina and visiting the place that used to be home to us. Even though I didn't get to see my Louisiana family, my sister Lauren, her husband, and son live in SC and it was lovely to catch up! Here are a few pictures from our Christmas visit.

Merry Christmas!

We've been back in Atlanta since Tuesday evening, but life has not slowed down. Our 2 year old nephew Baby Joe came back to ATL with us and it's been a non-stop little adventure. :)

So, how was your Christmas? I sincerely hope that you guys had one for the books!

Home for Christmas

Today, Keith, Baby Gavin and I (along with our two cats!) are heading to Charleston to spend Christmas with Keith's side of the family. As much as I disliked Charleston when we lived there, I am always happy to go back and visit. I'm most excited to see family and friends and just relax without any worries. Classes ended last week and Keith and I will get to finally have a homework-free visit. I don't know how much blogging I'll be doing, but I wanted to wish all of you guys a wonderful Christmas filled with love and joy. Try to truly enjoy the moment you're in and cherish the memories you're making with loved ones. I love you guys!

Baby Bump - Weeks 27 & 28 and Gavin's 4D!

At the beginning of the month, Keith and I scheduled a 3D/4D ultrasound of our sweet baby boy. The appointment was in the morning, and unfortunately Gavin was asleep with his hands AND feet in his face! Lol even though the pictures didn't come out as great as we'd hoped, we had a great time. Plus, we registered our session online and family members from South Carolina and Louisiana were able to watch it live! It was awesome.

Face shot -- the line across his eye is the umbilical cord.

Hands, toes and face!

Gav's face! His nose was pressing against my belly!

His face, with both feet crossed!

I am so anxious to meet this little man! Only 78 days until my due date...boy is time flying by!

---------------------

 27weeks, 5 days

28 weeks, 3 days

For weeks 27 and 28, things were pretty smooth. My biggest struggles were with sporadic heartburn (oatmeal causes it but pizza doesn't?) and nosebleeds. My energy level was high and I was able to accomplish a lot during these last few weeks before Christmas and finals. During week 28 I had my glucose test done and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Due to my blood type not being compatible with my husband's, I had to have a RhoGAM shot. It wasn't too bad, but for two days after the area around the injection site (lower back!) was severely sore...I could barely walk! But, the soreness is gone and things are going well.

I am now at the stage where doctor's appointments will be every two weeks. It is hard to believe that the third trimester has arrived and this sweet life inside of me is a mere 12 weeks away from entering this world. It is very surreal knowing that Keith and I are going to be responsible for this child. We'll no longer be a couple, but a trio. Parents. A family of three. Thank you, Lord!

DONE...for now!!! :)

Last night, I completed the last of my coursework for this semester. :D I cannot explain how wonderful it feels to accomplish these classes. :) My university divides each semester into two session, so I only take two classes at a time. The last two classes were Homeland Security (which I loved!) and Data Analysis (which I passed by the skin of my teeth). And while I only have two weeks off before the new classes begin, I am going to cherish the time away from the books.

In other news, I spoke with my academic advisor last week to discuss class availability and my anticipated graduation date. Y'all -- I have five classes left! FIVE! And that includes the two that I am taking in the spring!!! So, when I head back to school in fall 2012, I will be taking only 9 hours and then I AM FINISHED. DONE. Bye-bye Undergrad! I am a bit bummed that I couldn't squeeze all 5 classes into the spring semester, but many classes were not offered, and Gavin makes his debut in March. I trust completely that this all happened for a reason. :)

Come December 2012, I will have my degree. Come May 2013, I will walk across that beautiful stage in Virginia Beach in my cap and gown, and celebrate this feat.

I. can't. wait.

Moments of Impact

Well, I know what the husband and I are doing on February 14th! The movie The Vow, starring Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum opens that day (but I've also seen February 10 as the opening day!) and we will definitely be out on a V-Day date!

So what's it about?

A newlywed couple recovers from a car accident that puts the wife in a coma. Waking up with severe memory loss, her husband endeavors to win her heart again.

Okay, okay I know it's a bit cliché, but I am an absolute sucker for these kinds of movies. Plus, this one in particular looks wonderful. Rachel McAdams is one of my favorite actresses and I can't wait to see her in this film.

Oh, what a tearjerker! And the song Enchanted by Taylor Swift is just perfect for this trailer!

Happy Friday lovelies,
I hope you enjoy the weekend!
